Abstract: The article analyzes the local mythologized microtoponyms of the interior of the philological faculty of St. Petersburg State University (SPbSU), as well as university interior mythology at the level of microtoponyms representing the cultural and historical layer. The main thesis of the article - the analysis of microtoponyms of the philological faculty in diachronic point of view becomes a mirror of the display of historical and connotative transitions in the minds of different generations, with the help of which cultural and social memory is reconstructed. The semiotic metalanguage, which made it possible to look at microtoponyms comprehen- sively, as a whole, in four dimensions: semantic, syntagmatic, pragmatic and paradigmatic, served as the methodological prerequisite for the study. Obligations to the typological ap- proach, all toponyms are reconstructed in four clusters and their axiological components are revealed. In addition to linguistic, semiotic and methods and approaches like cultural studies was also used the method of sociological survey. A study of university interior mythology at the level of microtoponyms and cultural strata of the philological faculty of St. Petersburg State University showed that the interior of the University is an important component of the active manifestation of the cultural and historical thesaurus. Multiplicity of microtoponyms become important markers not only for the reconstruction of the cultural and social memory of the university space, but also a compass of the interior space for the socializing generation of students.
